Mission Statement:
My mission is to provide landowners of the Northeast with cost effective plans and guidance for implementing their individual goals and dealing with their unusual problems, while best utilizing their unique resources.
I value personal service most of all. I take the extra effort to identify your unique situation because one size simply does not fit all. By identifying your special situation and resources, I can combine the best technical and intellectual resources available into a cost effective plan to address your individual goals.
I utilize a systems approach to project management, which simply means that each step is analyzed and treated as a separate entity or system with its own subsystems, inputs, outputs, etc. By doing this, we often identify potential problems earlier and can implement any changes in a simpler fashion. Utilizing these methods, a plan of any size can be formulated that identifies and addresses the needs of all stakeholders and the most cost and time effective steps needed to implement that plan.
I charge for my services based on a "values system" rather than by hours and/or deliverables whenever possible. This means that I work to develop a conceptual image of what results we (my client or customer and myself) expect the project to have. I then establish what value this will have for the customer, and my fee is a percentage of this value plus any other direct costs that I may incur while the customer implements the proposed project. My many years of business experience has shown this to be the most fair method of compensation for all parties involved. It eliminates the concern for what I call "lawyer hour growth", and provides better cost estimating sooner in the project plan.
Karl Hallen..... Over 40 years of entrepreneurial endeavors including several ag businesses from custom farming to dairy farming at three different locations. From custom pesticide application to organic, and from commercial high input/ high production to low input/ high profit management intensive grazing. Forestry businesses include a commercial sawmill specializing in custom and customer direct lumber orders and building projects, and personalized forest management plans. With the reality that I am not going to be able to work as physically hard forever, I decided to utilize my brain, experience, and array of contacts and networks to assist landowners to realize their dreams and overcome their problems. Thus, this consulting business was formed. With nonstop continuing education, and a building inventory of contacts, my expertice is multiplied into a network of specialists that can help YOU achieve your goals.
